Equinor, a Norwegian oil and gas company that’s planning to open Canada’s first deep water oil drilling project off the coast of Newfoundland and Labrador, is lobbying “government officials regarding the Bay du Nord project to discuss its progress and explore opportunities for ongoing collaboration.”
Equinor found oil 500 kilometres northeast of St. John’s back in 2013 but the project has been facing choppy waters since 2020.
