Luke Conkin

Research & Development Associate

Luke is a bilingual research and development associate based out of British Columbia with experience in legal research. He holds a BA in Political Science from the University of British Columbia and is currently a Juris Doctor candidate at Thompson Rivers University Faculty of Law. Luke is passionate about government affairs, institutional transparency, and foreign affairs and intends to pursue a career in public government law. Luke was Co-President of the TRU Oral Advocacy Club in 2024-2025 and UBC Model Parliament Chair for 2021-2022.

Luke’s past experience includes multiple supervisory roles at the West Vancouver Aquatic Centre and legal research on the effects of BC’s new application fee on general information requests. Beyond his professional and academic pursuits, Luke enjoys multiple sports (especially hockey), is an avid reader, and an amateur photographer (particularly astrophotography).
